A fanmade demake of Pony Island by Daniel Mullins, as an LCD handheld game. This is my submission to the unofficial Daniel Mullins Fan Games jam that I'm hosting.

How to play:

  • To start the game, just click.
  • Left-click to jump, right-click to shoot.
  • Drag the difficulty slider to set it to your desired difficulty. There are four options available.
    • On the easiest difficulty, only gates will appear. You will have to jump over them.
    • On the second-easiest difficulty, enemies can also appear. Shoot the enemies with your pony lasers before they attack you.
    • On the second-hardest difficulty, gates will sometimes come in larger amounts, requiring you to time your jumps more precisely.
    • On the hardest difficulty, glitched enemies can appear. If you shoot these ones, you lose; just wait for them to disappear instead.

Credits:

  • Based on Pony Island by Daniel Mullins Games.
  • Made with Godot Engine. Also, I used Shotcut for editing audio, Krita for editing images, and Blender for modeling and rendering the image of the handheld itself.
  • All visual assets were made by me, though they were all based on ones from the original game. Credit goes to Daniel Mullins for the artwork I based mine on (and in some cases used directly as parts of mine).
  • Music and sound effects are taken directly from the original game, though they have been very slightly modified, so credit goes to Jonah Senzel for the soundtrack.

Very nice. Maybe keyboard controls for the buttons might be handy for PC/laptop, but the set up is well done. I'd like to share your game on my game page, if you don't mind.

If you want to share it on your page, that's fine by me! Glad you liked it. If I ever update it (though admittedly that's pretty unlikely) I'll try to include keyboard controls as part of said update.

Shared your game on my game page, Keep up the good work! ;)

This is really good! It is very retro and i like how you can see the outline of where all the fences/demon/pony can be. I'm also very happy the ost is in there :)

Thank you! And yeah, I couldn't make a Pony Island fan game and not include Jonah Senzel's music. :)
